Experience the zoo like never before with an unforgettable overnight adventure! As the sun sets, embark on a guided night tour to discover the hidden world of nocturnal animals and see the zoo in a whole new light. Get up close with an amazing animal ambassador and take part in hands-on activities designed to bring you closer to wildlife. Enjoy an evening filled with fun, exploration, and discovery before settling in for the night surrounded by the sounds of nature. Experience the magic of Zoo Miami after hours with our Night Tour! Perfect for individuals and families, this exclusive experience allows you to explore the Zoo at night, encountering the nocturnal animals that come alive after dark.
During the Night Tour, you'll enjoy a guided walk through the Zoo, getting the chance to see which animals are awake at night and even have an up-close encounter with one of our animal ambassadors.

This FREE event provides an opportunity to explore the Zoo's educational offerings, discover field trip and outreach opportunities, and learn how wildlife and conservation themes can be integrated into your classroom curriculum.
Participants will have the chance to connect with Zoo educators, learn about available resources and programs, and gather ideas for engaging students through hands-on, standards-aligned learning experiences. Whether you're planning a field trip, seeking classroom enrichment opportunities, or looking for new ways to inspire curiosity about the natural world, this event offers valuable tools and connections to support your teaching.
Ideal for classroom teachers, homeschool educators, administrators, and informal educators serving students of all grade levels.
Certified Miami Dade Teachers can also apply for credit through their Frontline Portal.

Community Outreach

Community Group Outreach Program
Price: $265.00
 ZMF’s Learning Experiences team brings fun, inquiry-based, and hands-on learning presentations to your group. We encourage wildlife appreciation and understanding for participants of all ages.
Presentations can last from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on program selection.

Creature Feature: Learn about a specific species that calls Zoo Miami home! We offer Chimpanzee, Sea Turtles, Florida Panther, American Flamingo, & the American Alligator!

World Wonders: Join our zooper travel agency in taking a trip around the world to learn about five different habitats, along with taking an excursion with one of the travel guides from that habitat.

 Zooperheroes: Learn about animal adaptations and how the animals at Zoo Miami are similar to those in our favorite comic books and movies.

Ecosystem Profiles: Learn more about one of our distinct ecosystems such as the Florida Everglades, Amazon Rain Forest, African Savannah, Australian Outback, or the Asian Grasslands.

Zoology and Conservation: Learn all about what zoology is and the different conservation efforts Zoo Miami is contributing to around the world!

 Zoo Careers: Get an inside look at the many roles that keep the zoo running—whether it's caring for animals, designing exhibits or signs, or educating guests! Discover what it's really like to work behind the scenes and learn how passion for wildlife can turn into a dream job. Get inspired and maybe even find your future career among the animals!

Enrichment Engineers(Mobile Fun Factory): Learn why enrichment is so important for animal well-being and discover the different ways to design toys and activities based on each animal's unique needs. It’s a hands-on, creative program where you’ll get to build your own enrichment ideas and see how they help keep animals engaged, active, and happy!

Community Group Outreach Program

Zoo Cubs and Grown Ups
Price: $55.00
  Zoo Cubs & Grown Ups, for children aged 2-5 years old and their “favorite grown up” (parent, grandparent, caregiver, etc.). This will be a members-only, once-a-month class on Saturdays. Each session will have a fun theme and will include:
  • Meeting at the front of the park with a guided stroller walk into the park.
  • Activities: read-aloud, movement, music, sensory play, etc.
When: One Saturday per month, 9:45 am-11 am (program run time is 1 hour and 15 minutes)
Who: Zoo Membership families with children ages  2-5 years old

What: Mommy and Me type class to build community among young families while creating building blocks for children's development and appreciation of nature and wildlife.
Where: Zoo Miami – homebase Oasis Pavilion
