Animal Experiences
Connect with our ambassador animals and zookeepers during up close and personal animal experience!

What to know before you book:
  • Check-in must be made at the Tours and Encounters Booth.
  • Depending on animal health requirements, guests ages two and older may be required to wear a CDC recommended face covering or they will not be allowed to participate. If needed, the face covering will be provided by Zoo Miami during the experience.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Service animals are not permitted.
  • Touching of the animals is not permitted unless advised by Zoo Miami staff.
  • Children five years old and under must be carried or held by the hand of an adult in their group.
Restrictions: One paying participant must be at least 18 years old per group.
 

In order to prepare for our night event on March 7th the zoo will be closing at 3 pm (last ticket sold at 2 pm) All activities will also be closing early or have modified times.

African Elephant Experience
Price: $65.42
The largest experience on land that only a select few ever get to do! During this journey, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet with our dedicated Animal Care Specialists, who will provide unparalleled insight into the inner workings of our African Elephants. Discover the day-to-day care of these magnificent creatures and the conservation efforts that are the backbone of our mission to preserve wild populations.

Travel to African Elephants, which is authorized for access only, and be part of the experience as you see a voluntary husbandry training session up close and learn how all this plays a crucial role in creating an environment where elephants can thrive at Zoo Miami.

Available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and select holidays at 11:00 a.m.

$70 (tax included) per person; Zoo admission is not included with this ticket.

Greater One-horned Rhino Experience

Galapagos Tortoise Experience

During your experience, you will get up-close and personal while learning all about our tortoises, their habitat, and the conservation efforts to protect them. As they walk in slow-motion, you will have plenty of Time to take the perfect photo!

Sea Turtle Hospital Experience

Embark on a unique journey as you step behind-the-scenes to witness the incredible work being done at Zoo Miami’s Sea Turtle Hospital. During this experience, you’ll discover heartwarming stories of resilience and healing as we rescue, rehabilitate, and release sea turtle patients back into the ocean. See these majestic creatures up close and personal and meet the dedicated team who work tirelessly to ensure their well-being.

A portion of the proceeds of this experience benefits the Zoo Miami Conservation Fund, supporting animal conservation efforts. This is your chance to go beyond the exhibits and become a crucial part of our mission to protect and preserve wildlife for future generations.
